
is pleased to be working with the City of Mount Holly, NC to identify suitable outdoor sculptures for placement in their continually expanding Creative Spaces Program. The City wishes to lease these pieces for one year beginning between April and June of 2026 .
Category A $3,000 (ea.) Up to six (6) large scale statement sculptures
Category B $1,800 (ea.) Up to four (4) street-scape scale pieces that fit on a 6’ x 6’ pad or smaller.
These sculptures will be placed in parks and greenways as a part of the Mount Holly Creative Spaces Program.
The Submittal Deadline is January 9, 2026.
All entries will be presented to Mount Holly's Public Art Advisory Commission (PAAC) who will then narrow the choices and hopefully make final selections on January 21, 2026.
Selected sculptures are to be installed on dates mutually agreeable to the City and the Artists between April and June of 2026 .
Feel free to submit any pieces that fit the criteria of this project. There are no fees for submittal. Be sure to fill out the Submittal Form below and then send two (2) .jpg images for each sculpture submitted to jdavis@sculptureinthelandscape.com .
All submitted work is to be of a "permanent nature" and:
• Be capable of withstanding adverse weather conditions (high winds, freezing temperatures, extreme heat, heavy rains, ice, snow, storms, etc.)
• Be fabricated or finished with non-hazardous materials
• Be maintenance free for the duration of the exhibit
• Take in consideration the safety of the audience
Please note:
Works not following the criteria WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED for installation.
The Artist shall be fully responsible for installation and de-installation unless prior arrangements are made. The City of Mount Holly will provide any necessary crane or additional manpower required for both installation and de-installation. In all cases the Artist is fully responsible for proper securement of the sculpture.
